Full garden makeover and driveway in Billingham
Garden Requirements from Customer
The customer required a new driveway, patio and paths all in one type of material, which incorporated a stone look to provide a nice looking area while remain maintenance free.
They also required the whole garden to be made over with new a lawn area, patio and plant beds. Due to a problem with flooding the customer wanted a drainage system be installed in the garden and driveway. This was no problem as our landscaping team have experience with installing drainage systems.
Site Layout/Condition
The site we inherited was a garden area which was very basic with no features. The driveway was comprised of concrete and had no drainage. The rear garden had an ever recurring problem with flooding.
Garden Theme
We used the natural sandstone as imprinted concrete cracks and requires yearly sealing, block paving is too high maintenance even once sealed. Natural sandstone paving provided exactly what the customer wanted quality, strength, aesthetically pleasing, no maintenance.
The entire garden also got an entire makeover and a complex network of field drains were placed in as the garden suffered very badly from flooding. New turf was laid, shrubs planted, driveway laid, to create a low maintenance garden area.
Final Concept
As you can see the end result was entirely what the customer wanted. They were overwhelmed with the final result. Not only did we succeed in reaching all their demands but we surpassed all expectation. We have since been in touch with the clients since we finished the work and they expressed to me how they are being complimented on the driveway and garden by passersby.
